Market Overview

France operates one of Europe's most comprehensive high-speed rail networks, with SNCF's TGV connecting Paris to major cities at speeds of up to 320 km/h. The Grand Paris Express is the largest urban rail project in Europe, adding over 200 km of new metro lines around the French capital through the 2030s. France is also developing the Lyon-Turin cross-border rail tunnel with Italy. Regional rail investments are supported by EU funding and national plans. The SNCF network carries hundreds of millions of passengers annually, and rail is central to France's decarbonisation strategy.
