Paraná hosts ANTT public hearing on Malha Sul concession. The draft tender and concession contract for the provision of public rail freight transport services will be presented.

The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) will hold the second session of Public Hearing 011/2026 on the concession of the Southern Rail Network on Monday, the 27th, in Curitiba. The hearing will take place at the Paraná Institute of Engineering (IEP), starting at 14 pm.

During the hearing, the draft tender and concession contract for the provision of public rail freight transport services associated with the operation of the railway infrastructure known as the Paraná–Santa Catarina Corridor, the Rio Grande Corridor, and the Mercosur Corridor will be presented. Participants will be able to ask questions and offer contributions to the concession proposal.

The first session of the public hearing on the concession took place on July 16th in Brasília, at the ANTT headquarters, with the presentation of the proposal that foresees the reconfiguration of the Southern Network into three independent rail corridors, totaling more than 4.200 kilometers of operational tracks. The next sessions will be held in Porto Alegre on July 29th and in Florianópolis on July 31st.

Even though the in-person sessions of the public hearing have ended, contributions from the public can still be made until August 10th. To participate, simply access the ParticipANTT portal. Through the platform, any citizen can follow ongoing public hearings and consultations, learn about the projects, and send suggestions directly to ANTT.

Representatives from Codesul and Ferroeste will also participate in the meeting.
