Ravindra Padmapriya appointed new Railways General Manager

Colombo, August 13 (Daily Mirror) - Announcing the appointment, Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunasena said the government’s aim is to operate the railway service more efficiently. He noted that many people have a strong affinity for the railways and that their support, along with the cooperation of all stakeholders, is essential for rapid development. The Deputy Minister said that the change in administration was a necessary step toward achieving these goals.
